FOPPS is made up is made up of Committee Officers, and anyone who comes to a meeting is a Committee Member. All parents and guardians are automatically part of FOPPS, and we welcome anyone in the local area who would like to support our school.

All you need to do to get involved is come along to a meeting. The dates of the meetings will be notified by email and advertised at the school. You may then like to volunteer at one of our events or suggest a new idea – we’d love to hear from you.

How do you think we should spend the money raised? Come along to our next meeting and give your views.

Our main fundraising events are: Pangbourne Fireworks Fiesta, Pangbourne 10k, and the bottle tombola at the Village Fete.

We are currently raising money for KS1 playground equipment and have recently funded ICT equipment.

For pupils and parents at the school, we run cake sales, Christmas crafts, raffles, “Sunshine Fridays” Ice Cream sales, and lots of other fun events. We also hold social events so parents and children can get to know each other better, and offer second-hand uniform for sale as well as clothing recycling.

How we work

We have three Committee Officer positions, each of which can be shared. Currently, our committee officers are:

  • Chair: Jason Howell
  • Treasurer: Carrie Gadsby
  • Secretary: ??

Every parent or carer who attends a committee meeting is known as an “Ordinary Member”, and is able to vote on spending decisions and other matters. You don’t have to do anything to be an “Ordinary Member” – just come along to the meetings! All parents and guardians of children at the school are automatically part of FOPPS and everyone is very welcome.

We hold meetings every two months. Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) is held every September at the school, and this is when we appoint our new Committee Officers and vote on large items of spending. Drinks and nibbles will be served, we hope to see you there!

We also have a constitution, which is available here: FOPPS Constitution Passed 2019
